Inspired by the work of Dan and Chip Heath and their book Switch, this session will explore a systematic approach to developing technologically rich learning environments in schools.
We will focus on the notion that sound pedagogy drives classroom practice and therefore our use of technology. Beginning with research outlining the emergent areas where technology best enhances pedagogy we will look at the concept of pedagogy toolkits to outline and document best practice. We will look at how we can best leverage other school initiatives to build teacher capacity in using technology. Together we will outline models for sustainable change, and improvement in student learning.
This session will be suitable to any School Leader or Technology Coach looking to develop, refine or rewrite their strategy for technology use. Participants will leave with an understanding of research into emergent pedagogies, integration models including TPACK and example toolkits of best practice. The session will provide time for reflection and sharing of school experiences.
